Solution for Entering Radio Code
Here is one easy solution for entering radio code without the need to remove the antenna if you plan to remove the battery. Switch your radio to AM (before removing your battery), then turn it off. That is it.

So you're saying if the radio was set to AM before it lost battery power, once it regains power & you put in the code, it works without having to do the antenna removal thing?
Let's get some people to test this out. Nice discovery if others can verify.
For what it's worth, my radio is always set on CD mode & I have the code-entering problem.

See this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-video-electronics-navigation-22/fixed-radio-refuses-take-radio-code-700000/
Sometimes even if you have the right code, it won't work unless you remove the antenna. Acutee is saying he found a possible easier alternative.

That is right, set it to AM before it lost the battery power, and you will not have problem entering the code.

i just had this happen to me for the first time on sunday. i searched but didn't find this thread. anyways after driving for 30 minutes it worked.
anyways, without testing yet i believe that this will work because in AM mode its harder to get a clear signal, same concept as unplugging it? thats my theory.
well i know it'll happen again, so next time i'll try this out.
THANKS!
edit: in my case i didn't lose battery power and the "code" thing just popped up randomly. i guess i can't use this trick because i won't be able to put it into AM mode before the battery is unhooked

Sorry acutee but the AM thing didn't work. Maybe it's 'cause I live in a big city; I can unplug practically everything related to the antenna (aside from the back of the radio) & stations still come in decent.
