smoke coming from the rear & front of my tl

Hello, I have a question regarding the proper driving speed on a 2003 acura tl. I was driving to a relative's house for thanksgiving this afternoon on a highway when i noticed that there was smoke coming from the rear of my vehicle. I parked on the side of the road and noticed smoke coming from the front of the vehicle as well. I kept my eye on the cluster gauge in my car and saw that my engine was not overheating, but when i took a look at the transmission & removed the dipstick, smoke began to come out. I gave it a few minutes to cool down & drove back home. It did smell like there was burning oil, but my transmission is not slipping. This may be obvious, but is this a sign that my car's transmission is failing & needs to be replaced, or is there something else wrong with my car? This is the first time this has happened to me in this car. Also, when I was driving, my vehicle was reving at 3000-3500 rpm while I was going ~100mph, is that too fast of a speed to drive the vehicle at?

3k rev at 100mph is normal.

Smoke is not. You should stop driving the car until you find and fix the problem. I don't think smoke is a "regular" sign of tranny failure, so it might be something more serious.

Yeah, I tried to drive the car this morning, it began to "buck" a little when I drove it, but the Malfunction indicator lamp on the car did not come on. Not sure whether its a tranny problem or if its something else, but I took it to the dealer to get it inspected. I'll have to wait untill monday to see what's the problem though...

^That. The absence of evidence isn't the evidence of absence.

What he means is: are your engine oil and atf levels fine?
