check the connection under the seat, might have loosened up or u might have a pinched/cut wire.

Did you get this problem fixed? i have the same problem with my 2000 TL. looks like a wire is disconnected but I cant see under the seat enough to find where it goes. Did you remove your seat? If so... how? If not, then how did you fix the problem?

Thanks

Remove seat (4 bolts, wiring connectors) & inspect. To avoid an SRS indication after finishing disconnect batt. first. Have radio/nav. codes available.

the car wash people moved my girlfriend's passenger seat all the way up. it is stuck in the all the way forward position, so it's impossible to remove the bolts easily.

the seat won't move back on one side. it seems like it derailed itself. is there any way i can fix this easily without it getting serviced at the dealership or mechanic? i don't want to burn out the motor. the mechanic that took a brief look at it said he'd charge $150 just to take it off to look at it. thanks much!!!

(it's a 2003 Acura TL type S)

i've tried looking at the track, kicking it, pushing it hard while i tried to move it back ... it just makes an awful noise and only moves on one side.

There is a cable that connects one side to the other (part 9)

See if you can see if that is damaged or broken off. It keeps the 2 sides working together.

Awesome. I'll give it a look tonight. If it's broken or damaged, how could I get the part number? Or should i just be able to fix it with some pliers and electrical tape?

I've got a similar problem. My seat will not slide forward or backwards. I looked under the seat for pinched wires or any connection problemsbut saw nothing out of ordinary.

There was clicking coming from the brain? Any suggestions?

i never got it to work. i looked under the seat and everything looked normal. i'm resigned to the fact that i'll have to take it to a mechanic eventually. i don't even know how he'll get the seat off, since it's all the way up. car wash people must have dislodged something or messed something up when they were vacuuming.

took it to a mechanic today. he said #9 was the issue. good thinking!! ordered the part. he said it'd cost $100 labor to take off the chair and install the part. i don't mind, especially since i can't even get the seat out myself. my now fiance will love me more.
