Update on this....

Took my car in today to get the Airbag replaced for the recall.

Apparently there is still an oil leak near the transmission. I have yet to clean that area off and see for myself, but im pretty upset of all that work I put in to replace the main seal and still having a leak.

What else could it be at this point? Torque converter?

Anything I should try to remedy/triage without too much labor? Unfortunately I am not going to do that job again and will most likely get rid of the car. Just sucks because it's not a HUGE problem, but is a big inconvenience and the rest of the car is running great.

I didn't read any of the thread history, You replaced rear main but need to clean the area.
Pop the inspection cover off to reassure yourself all is well at rear main seal- no FRESH oil will be present inside the cover

Techs see oil- they jump to an expensive conclusion, they need to generate income!

This is so true. For this reason, I really hope they were just trying to get some income!

Also...You didnt read the thread history, you were a part of it
Which I'm sure you remember the 1,000,000 threads you help with, haha

I'll take a look this weekend when I have some time and report back here. Thanks.

reminder: remove the PCV if not done before- give it a shake - clean or replace-
some prefer OE part $20 for its better accuracy at opening pressure relief ball

stuck PCV ball valve will force oil out the next easy place- the rear main seal!

So while changing my oil today I took the inspection plate off and didn't notice any oil in that area, especially against the flywheel cover.

Anyone see anything that I missed here?
