should i get a warranty?
should i get a warranty?
03 tl -s just got my tranny fix from ammco because the dealership just wont budge at all, i was wondering should i get the warranty from aamco, its 3yr/36000 at around 600, or should i get the lifetime for 1100, i want to keep the car , but if the tranny might go out again down the line, i just dont want any more headeaches, love my car but can't afford tranny failures
1100 is almost half of rebuild cost!!
see if they can bargain down and match acura- 300 dollars for the 3/36
are they offering 12/12 for free with it?
should last at least 40-50kmiles ++ on a good rebuild- making warranty a total profit to them and a major bending for you
If things are wrong with their work it will show in the first months
chances are you will end up selling the TL in a few years, so some trans warranty to offer with that is good--assuming the fine print allows transfer to next owner!!
ask some questions of the store MANAGER, not the commission based desk person
call a few other locations and ask about warranty cost

they did gave me a 12/12 warranty for free, but i am leaning towards trading it in, maybe an honda accord, i love my tl but its not giving love back, the warrant is for current owner only, the car rides good, but i dont want to sit there and it goes out on me, any suggestions?
