You mean the B pillars in that picture? I also would like a solution, as mine are in poor condition (sun damage?).

It's a different look,

But I covered my B pillars with polished Stainless Steel from an Ebay vendor. Came out OK.

I might ask the bodyshop im getting my hood repainted at how much it would be to paint the pillars NBP. Body colored pillars might be nice...

I considered painting the plastic...but it is actually deteriorating, becoming crazed from within. I didn't think the paint would last after a few more years of freeze/thaw/UV sunlight.

you could try the vinyl that ^ posted or if you dont mind spending a little more, you could go with 3M gloss vinyl.

or you dont mind the matte black look you can do plasti-dip.

orrr if you have the funds you can get a body shop to paint them black. but do not paint them body color if you have anything other than NBP. it will look terrible.

That's why i would get them done in NBP, they are re painting my hood and might test spray on my lip, if they have leftover NBP might as well use that.

its kind of peeling at the edges from a combination of the elements, and going a little too rough with the ice scraper. but in the Spring i am just going to peel it all off and respray it. it is really easy and forgiving stuff to work with.

i heard somewhere that they make a gloss plasti-dip. i havent seen it any stores but maybe they sell it online

i didnt take off the pillars. i just wet sanded them down so they were smooth and cleaned them with acetone. any overspray can be peeled/rubbed off with your fingers or a towel.

i sprayed on 2 coats. about 10-15 minutes between coats. thats about it.

aite. REAL solution, not hard, clean, permenant. follow the diy to remove ur pillars. go to autozone or auto store and pick up duplicolor trim paint. THEY HAVE HONDA NBP!!!! use high grit sand paper, meaning 400, sand off old shiney coat, take grit up to 600 or even 800 to smooth out. then spray like 5-6 coats of paint, then spray 8-10 coats of clear. give each coat AT LEAST 15mins to dry b4 adding another. this is not hard by any means! only trouble i had was dropping the stupid screws into the door because i am a klutz. result is clean and dam near close to factory look. the only way you would be able to tell is if you had them side by side to compare.

Why would you NOT take the 5 min to take them all off and sand them and paint them OFF the car making a better paint job with NO overspray???????
