Without laughing, is it possible to switch the front driver seat in a 99TL for the front passenger seat? My passenger seat is like new and would be far more comfortable as I drive a lot. Other than the side auto controls being hard to reach, are there any other big problems that would prevent this?

 

The whole seat, it is clearly 'No'.

But I am wondering if the seat cushion alone can be swapped.

too many issues with airbags and design no doubt!

 

i thought the side airbags where only on the 02-03 ??

 

I have side air bags on my 01

 

interesting my friend had a 99 thats the reason i fell in love with the tl. I surley was convinced he didn't have side airbags

 

My '00 has side airbags as well

 

I think either i'm hallucinating or maybe his really does not have them he has one of the very first 99's

 

I just checked my 'Owner Link' on the Acura website and it said "Driver's and front passenger's air bag" so I am assuming no side airbag. Answer still no?

 

99s didnt have them and Still a No. buy a new seat or find a good condition used one. Or you could replace the lower cushion.
