Sagging Front Bumper
Sagging Front Bumper
Hey new to the forums here.
so as the title states my front bumper is sagging, anyone know how to fix this?
some background info: my sister crashed the car a couple years back (a huge fender bender) and she totally messed up the front bumper, we had it fixed but now its starting to sag, my sister still drives the car so she might have crashed it again.
my specific question would be i guess, how to uninstall and reinstall the bumper correctly?
Thanks!

there is a bolt in either wheel well that might need to be tightened and/or is no longer there. Aside from that there might be clips missing that hold it on at the front. Just by the rad. Pull back the plastic covering over the front of the engine bay (runs the entire length covering the lights too) to see if anything is missing.
Then post pictures of your findings.

Front bumper is hang by the two removable metal L-shape frames. Each frame is mounted with 3 screws right under each headlight. The frames themselves are also the clips for the bumper. Each side, the 3 screws hold each frame to level the bumper high or low manually, they also hold the headlight. If you or someone has removed the headlight before, I am sure you know what I mean of the L-shape metal frame under each headlight.
It sounds to me the bodyshop didn't do the job properly; or believe it or not, they did not install the bumper with the metal frames. You can re-adjust the bumper and tighting the screws without completely removing the bumper if the metal frames are there. To access to those 3 screws, you need to remove 1 screw in the wheel well, one screw underneath the bumper and one plastic clip. Slightly pull out the bumper, then reach to those 2+1 screws with a ten-inch extension. 1 screw is right on the side, easily removed without an extension.

Most likely the bumper was not mounted correctly or the shop took shortcuts and didn't fix it how it's supposed to be done.
