my srs light just came on has anyone had this problem how much was the repair cost can it be done by anyone elde besides dealer thanks

if its the srs light, your airbags aren't working. at all. there is a recall on the light. take it to the dealer to see if you are covered.

if you have done ANY electrical work or unplugged a seat or anything recently- then do the SRS system reset procedure and see if it comes back on
If it does proceed as below

If you have not touched the car electrical to cause a false code: call acura care and verify you are part of the SRS extended warranty to 10/150, call 1 800 382 2238x5
call dealer for `SRS light appointment`
there is a special warranty for a reason- failures!
they may have to get a sensor in the seat or other part, iirc it covers 5 of 6 parts in the system- those most likely to fail,, and approx 99 percent of the cars with SRS light fall under the warranty coverage
1 in 1000 have a different part fail thats not covered

The reason you will have to go to the dealer if the reset doesn't work is that diagnosis of SRS problems requires a special scanner (different from engine light scanner). If the problem is covered under warranty...great. If not, anyone can replace the necessary part(s), then you can reset yourself.
