Question Rusted Frame

About a week ago, my 2000 TL started to creak upon deceleration, acceleration, and during turns. I took it to a mechanic who told me the front frame is severly rusted and needs to be replaced (since it is beyond repair).

I have heard that the A/C compressor drips on the frame and that, over time, that can cause the rust I now have (I also live in an area with heavy winter snow and road salt use). Anyone else ever hear about a rusted frame from compressor drippings on a 2nd Generation TL?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Never heard of that, and the AC compressor shouldnt drip any thing. At times the condenser will drip pure water but that shouldnt cause any thing. I think i would get a 2nd opinion and or lift the car and look for yourself. Kinda sounds fishy. I live where the roads are solid salt in the winter any my frame is in perfect condition.
