Replacing Gearbox Light

The bulb inside my gearbox blew out, how do I get into the gearbox to replace it.

gearbox??? you mean the glovebox, or "this is not an ash tray" thing

yes, by the shifter, sat and fooled around with it the other night and ended up fixing it.

Oh, could've sworn that the gearbox was where you shift your car in and out of gear. My apologies everyone for being wrong.

We're just picking on you. Could be the gear box if our car is rear wheel drive. Which i would be happy to own one, specially if it's a standard.

he pulled on the top shifter plate until it popped loose and found the bulb-- would be my guess
