The screws aren't torx. Regular philips. If I remember right its two or three holding it in the door and then the arm for the latch. Rears are a little bit harder than the fronts because they're set in the doors so far. Wish I could give you some good instructions, just take your time. It will also help to have a long shank screwdriver to help you. Just have a little patience, good luck!

I have a similar problem, but its the front passenger door, removed panel, removes plastic sound dampening material, took out the actuator but, I cannot get the new one properly, there is a small pole that has to inserted through the actuator arm. any ideas on how this works

Hi All :
Sorry Jt if I semi-hijack your thread......
I have a intermittent front passenger side lock actuator that I can't seem to remove. I can get all the fasteners off and the unit is free in the door but I can't seem to maneuver the unit out from behind the window track. Looking at the parts catalog, I have a sneaky suspicion that the unit splits into two pieces and that's how you get it (them) out.
Can anyone confirm this is how to remove the unit (s) and also, which of the two pieces is the one that usually fails ?
Thanks in advance.

No the actuator does not come in two pieces. The moving part (the arm) is what usually gets stuck after you remove the three screws. Its just a feel by hand process at this time. I haven't seen a doy on this.
