My tranny has alot of miles on it, is it still safe to go from Z1 to D4?

i heard really good things about Redline and D4 swap

and the 3x3 thing

 

i have a 2001 TL

ever change your fluid? No- then stay with 3 qts honda fluid

replacement trans with under 50kmiles- get on the redline

any current trans issues?

 

whats the trans current mileage--original or replacement unit- date of replacement

100kmiles would be high without a fluid change--should do those every 15-30k
some are doing 3 with every engine oil change!!

 

i have a swap tranny with 45,000. but im unsure the seller told me!

i didnt the Z1 3x3 today. everything went great. VTEC kicked in QUICKER

 

I changed from Z1 to Redline D4 synthetic and found a considerable improvement in my shifting at all rpm's. I bought a whole case of it and I came out paying cheaper per quart. I also changed over to Amsoil synthetic engine oil and it is holding up alot better under prolong periods of high rpm and speed as is the Redline D4.

 

were you getting shudder shift into 2nd or what was your trans doing?
