Ran off the road

So we had the big winter storm come this past weekend and while trying to make a store run my 03 TL-S slid off the road. I didn't hit anything or even run into a ditch, just slid off the road a lil bit. Well the catalytic converter cover came off and now I'm gettin codes for both 02 censors and and bad ECM. Did I royally screw up my car? Also the trans is actin up( when I put it in D5 it acts like it's in 4th or 5th gear and wants to accelerate very slowly HELP PLEASE

I could be completely wrong, and I apologize if I am, but it sounds like your car might be in "limp mode" due to the codes you're throwing.

You likely damaged the O2 sensor if the cat shield was ripped off, and as for the bad ECM, I have no idea. You could likely get another one from an auto wrecker for cheap and it should take no more than 15 minutes to replace. I don't think you messed your car up really bad though.

Sounds like you must of damaged one or both O2 sensors. First thing would be to avoid driving it until you can get under the car and see what is going on

Reset the codes and see what comes back, inspect the catalytic converter area for broken O2 wires. Best to put it up on a lift unless you can jack it up safely.
Only reason I can think of the transmission being in limp mode is the ATF temp sensor under the trans probably broken wires or sensor got damaged. Or it could just be coincidence that the tranny is going bad.

I already tried pulling the back up fuse for over 30 mins and still getting the codes. When I finished pulling the cat. shield off the O2 wires were still intact so idk. As far as the tranny goes I know the trans temp censor needs replaced cuz the D5 light has been flashing for awhile, I just haven't had it replaced yet.

You could have knocked some cat element loose that's now fouling up the o2 sensors, have you taken them off and checked them also check the cat itself. when you tap it, do you hear any loose material?

Do you have a code for the ATF temp sensor ?
The o2 wires may have broken internally, Also the impact could have damaged the sensor.

When the D5 light starts blinking I get the code for it but not unless it's blinking Yea I'm gonna take it to the mechanic so he can put it on the lift and look at it closer

If you don't have functioning O2 sensors then your ECU cannot operate in closed loop. Which means your ECU is kind-of guessing the O2 parameters.

Well I'm almost certain now that the ecu is bad cuz last night it just died like the alternator was bad and drained the battery so I replaced the alternator and it still died.
