I live in Northern VA, recently my radio is acting up while I was driving in some of the areas around here. The static noise suddenly came on very loud thru the speakers. It is unbearable that I have to turn off the radio. For instance, around South Riding area on 50. Does anyone have any idea or have this kind of static problem with the radio? Thank you.

 

is it repeatable every time in the same area? is it from all 4 speakers? or just 1 or 2 of them?

it's repeatable every time in the same area. I think it is from all speakers but it is hard to tell since I am always on the driver side.

 

well if it's always the same area then i wouldn't worry about it. obviously there is something going on there that isn't kosher. unfortunately i can't verify this for you since i don't live around there but i wouldn't worry about it too much. that's why you have a CD player
