radiator change

What's up fellas? I picked this forum because this is the car I have but I am changing the radiator in my fiancee's car tomorrow, now I know it's simple, I've removed everything except the hose that is connected to the tranny fluid so that would not spill out all night, I drained the old radiator now when I install the new one tomorrow, so I just fill it with anti-freeze? Or do I have to do something else, seems pretty simple and thats what I plan on doing, please correct me if I'm missing something. Thanks!

just dont forget to bleed/burp the cooling system. basically all u gotta do is put the inside climate control to hot and run the car with the radiator cap off until theres no more bubbles in the system. i usually wait til the fans come on and off twice then i top off the radiator and top off the over flow tank and put the cap back on.

Don't use 100% antifreeze. Use a 50/50 mix of the recommended coolant & water, distilled is better. Check your o/m to be sure.

Thanks fellas, I already have the 50/50 antifreeze, how much distilled water should I put in? Does it matter if I don't put any distilled water?

^ thats the point of the 50/50 mix you don't add water at all.

50% - water
50% - coolant

One last question fellas, at the bottom of the radiator there is a small hose that is connected to the transmission so when that hose is removed transmission fluid leaks out, any suggestions on what to do to plug up the hose during removal of the radiator? I went to the auto parts store yesterday and they seemed completely dumb founded by my question, didn't think it is a difficult question, just wondering if anyone has been in this position and if so what did you do. Thanks.

Sounds like a radiator for a transm. cooler- do you have to remove it in order to get the radiator out?

Maybe get a bolt that fits in the end of the hose and clamp it tightly with a hose clamp?

Ok, this should be the last question, I have the radiator out now and obviously I wouldn't start the car without a radiator being in it but I had to go into it the other night and I tried to turn the interior light on and nothing, tried to roll down the window nothing, radio NOTHING! Then I tried to jump the car and yep you guessed it NOTHING!! Does the radiator affect the power in the car at all is there some connection I may have unplugged, I don't get it, all I did was take out the radiator, didn't expect that to affect the power. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe you disconnected something electrical & just forgot, or bumped a connector and accidentally disconnected it.

You must've disconnected something while removing the radiator because it has NOTHING to do with your ignition system. Did you maybe disconnect a ground cable while you were working on the car?
