Question Question about installing a.m. hid kit

Hey guys, I just received my aftermarket hid kit (stock ballast died) in the mail today and all looks just fine except for one thing.

The wire from the new ballast that will connect to the stock headlight power source has me lost as to what to do with it. Here's a picture of what it looks like:

So all I have is + and - connectors, and the problem is the stock power source is a damn plug that connected to the stock igniter...

Anybody have any ideas as to how I could hook up the ballast to the existing stock power source...?

those plug into where the stock wiring harness would have plugged into the old light.

Those little things will plug right on in there like the light used to do, just without all the plastic!

Actually the bastards sent me the wrong ballasts, it's fat as hell...twice as thick as the stock one, but I found a great spot for it. The slim ballasts I had asked for are really tiny.

And thanks for the response bibledriver. I ended up having to cut the plug off cause the connectors just didn't fit. I cut the plug off, stripped the wire a bit, plugged them into a coupler, and plugged the ends from the new ballast into the other end of the coupler (sized perfectly).

All connected just fine, but it was a bit of a hassle. I left the stock ballast on to keep the headlight sealed, but had to cut a hole in the back of the HID bulb casing to run the wire from the new ballast, but I used a gromet (sp?) to keep it sealed. All seemed to work just fine, then as I said in my other thread...the battery just shit the bucket on me

maybe they sent you a ballast, then, for a different type of halogen bulb. This would explain why they wouldn't fit. Bummer, but good job working around it.
