Question Putting the shine back on chrome mufflers

I don't know if this is a good section or not, but before I put on my tanabe catback I really want to clean them really well. If anyone has a suggestion for a chrome cleaner or a good way to clean then shine I would like to know. I would like to restore these mufflers due to dust and a little grime here or there. So suggestions please. Thanks

use simple green to get the grime and crap off. then you can try never dull that comes in a can and its like a guauze type stuff to help buff it, there are also polishers out there by mothers that is cream based. just some good ol TLC will be what you need

I agree with using Eagle One Never Dull that stuff works great. I have been using it for years it is the best metal cleaners out there, OTC at least. The grime can be cleaned off with any cleaner that doesn't harm metal. I would use break and parts cleaner and scrub it will a terry towel after letting it sit for a few minutes amd rinsing it off. then use the never dull, you will be happy.

I've used Mother's metal polish on my previous greddy sp & apexi ws. I was able to make them look brand new. I also did them on the TL stock tips and they look brand new!

and once you get them clean just be sure to clean them each washing (not letting it build up), it will come right off with hardly any effort each time...

Mother's mag and aluminum polish works wonders, I think its like 4-5 dollars for a tiny can's worth but you only need a tiny bit
