Power Steering Noise

Power Steering Noise

Okay so I have a 2003 Tl-S just replaced the rack, pump,and all the lines but it will makes a loud whining noise when I turn. What could this be? Thanks in advance!

Might be air in the PS system?

may be time to rebuild your PS pump. Maybe the washer are bad and letting in air

On his note of the washers letting in air, how are the o-rings doing throughout the system? Were they replaced recently?

I'm sorry, that was a brain fart... I meant o-rings, not washers

Pfft okay. I read your post and was confused, but figured that since I haven't rebuilt my PS pump I couldn't really argue on whether the washers in there could form a seal in the first place.

Still always fighting it. It is not air in system. Brought 4. pump from junkyard. Dis time after pump replacement will bleed it with that thing in post nr 11.

It can take a couple of hundred miles for all the air to work its way out, and it will whine and groan loudly until then. (Just had this done.)
