Odd navi issue 03 tls
So, I experienced the same clock issue (00:00) many others reported last year. Acura sent me the Honda Navigation Software Update, which I installed, and immediately corrected the 00:00 clock problem. Recently, I had to disconnect the battery. Since disconnecting the battery, every time I start the car, the Navi screen NOW displays a bold yellow message, ( "DVD Disc reading error, ( incorrect DVD Disc) Please consult your dealer." ) I can work around this Error message by selecting the A/C function, than immediately return to the Navi menue, and than the Navi functions normally! I tried re-booting the Navi, to no avail. I than re-ran the Honda Software Update, again to no avail! Anyone else experience an issue like this? Although I normally use WAZE for directions, I do occasionally use my factory GPS, but it's very annoying to constantly see this ERROR message! A secondary issue is that the factory NAVI always Defaults to California, when trying to input an address, and I must change the state, before entering an address. Anyone know if there is a way to select a permanent preferred state?

Mine does he same(I have the update for clock fix also), not sure about the default address thing though as I never use my nav. Only thing I use the display for are the clock and A/C controls. One thing I have noticed is that the disk read message is intermittent.

Hey Iggy, thanks for the input. My disc read error is intermittent as well. Seems to me, when I did the update fix, I had to remove the most current disc, and install the original disc, for the update to work! I'll call Acura care and see if they can shed any light on this issue.

Called Acura client services 10/29/2018. Representative said, " since the Navigation screen displays the (disc read error, incorrect disc, consult your Dealer), You need to consult your Dealer. Fat chance of that happening! I'm certain the Dealer will insist on a diagnostic service, and than advise that the DVD unit needs to be removed and sent to the manufacture for testing and repair!!! The problem is most certainly related to the update disc issue, and has created a real nuisance, since every time the car is started, the Blue Error Screen appears. I originally thought Acura really stepped up to the plate, and addressed the clock issue, as they rightfully should. Time for a new audio set-up me thinks!
