Just for the hell of it I checked my oil level today and was surprised to see the oil level was low, I am a little under 2000 miels before I get my next oil change and I also have mobil 1 synthetic in it which I though burned slower(not sure if it's 5w 20 or .....) I do not see a leak, any reason why this would happen, could it be I hardly drive my car? Any advice would help, also since I just need to pour a quart in or 2 does it have to be mobile 1 synthetic? Or can I use any kind to just top it off. Also what grade should I use, since I do not remember what's in there now? Thanks in advance, sorry for all the questions.....

 

i would add any in u dont know the weight, just change it and make sure its at the full mark and check to see if the level goes down. if it goes down a bit with in 5k, its no problem, wear and tear basically. now if it goes down a quart or two, you might be leaking, or burning it.
