Oh Lawd!! My Car Wont Shift Out of Park
What can this be? I was about to leave for lunch and the shifter will not move, is this the transmission that would cause this or something else. Comments please.

Just chillen..
I was thinkin the fuse? I mean if he saying the shifter wont move at all, then it could be fuse from the side fuse box, accidently came out? That happened to me, so check that out.

I went out to mess with it and I put the key in that hole and got it to move so it seems to be working okay now. At least I know what to do about it now. Thanks guys.

Its most likely a fuse or teh brake light switch. Have some one double check that your brake lights are working as well

Guys, this problem is back again. I checked the button above the brake pedal but it is not getting stuck. I did notice that I dont have any brakelights when I push the pedal though. What fuse # should I check out or any ideas on cost to replace the brakeswitch??

First check your fuse. They are labels on the covers if you dont have a manual to tell you. Its most likely the switch. Get a new one if the fuse checks out and replace it.

I'm back in business, got this fixed this morning for $75, part and labor. It took the guy like 10 mins to fix at Honda Pros of Katy. And my stealership said it would cost about $200.

Okay guys well I was having the exact same problem, I just took care of the problem this past weekend. It was easy to replace it. I saved me some money big time. I bought the part at the Acura dealership for 35.00 and went home and put it on my self. Took about 10 mins max. Just unscrew the old one and screw the new one on and there you go my shifter works and brake lights light up when I press the brake.
