Noise coming from oem sub

i have an aftermarket subwoofer system in my trunk hooked up to the factory audio system...the input i used for the aftermarket amp is coming from the factory amp used to power the oem sub...so i was just driving yesterday and all of the a sudden a weird noise like a clicking noise started coming from my kicker sub...i tried unhooking the kicker and hooking back up the factory sub but the same noise is now coming out of the factory sub..has anyone had this issue before??? i was thinkin there was somethign wrong with the factory amp but i wanted to see if any else has had this problem

This just happened to me and I can't figure out what is causing it. It has worked fine since the install and then all of a sudden this happens. Any suggestions anyone? Thanks for any help you could offer.

You could try bypassing the factory amp completely. Otherwise you are just double amplifying.

check the wires on the stock sub to see if they are loose or firmly attached. Also check all of your wiring for shorts and check the grounds for any audio stuff.

ahhhh the wonderous joys of diagnosing the sound system... So so very glad these puppies come with a pretty good stock system. I would love a new deck, but I dont even wanna deal with the hassel of trying to fit one, and then wire it all in with my nav... Blahhhh

Deff check the connections on all the factory stuff you had to work around. Good chance you hit a bump and jerked something loose and now its "mis firing" - best of luck and let us know the answer when you get it fixed.
