Whats up people question for you guys! I was driving to school today and when i was on the highway in my 03 tl i was going about 45mph and i let go of the gas pedal and for a quick second when i looked at the speedometer as the mph was decreasing the rpm gauge went from 1000x to 2000x and went back down? any ideas maybe a tune up issue? also my maintenance required light blinks for 10 secs after i start the car just got a oil change done like 2 weeks ago do you think they forgot to reset it i just did? any feedback is much appreciated

 

When you take your foot off the gas to slow down, the car downshifts at certain speeds to assist with engine braking. When it downshifts your RPM may bump up a little depending on speeds.

Unfortunately it could also mean that the transmission slipped during the downshift. Your other post was answered by 01tl, be sure to answer his questions and he can help you figure out if it was normal or not.
