new rear control arm or camber kit???
new rear control arm or camber kit???
a bushing seesed (sp) on my right rear control arm according to Acura. I asked for pricing from napa and it was $310 canadian. My question is... camber kit = control arm???? is this right?.
If so then i would need to buy for both rear tires right??
My car is lowered and after alignment Acura could not adjust the rear tire beacuse of bushing. currently:
toe is -0.4 for back right
toe is 0.05 for back left.
Camber is -2.3 back right
camber is -0.8 back left
I am getting inside tire wear and will be needing new tires real soon.
thanks!!!!

Control Arm Bushing prob- you MAY be able to have the bushing itself replaced- ask NAPA auto parts- they have a machine shop usually, otherwise its replace the arm- could even be bent
Camber kits are 75 per side- not same part as you need, but if you went 2 inch or more drop you will need them for sure. Must install both sides when doing

01tl04tl,i lowered it with HrR sports which i've been told is hit and miss with problems on suspension. I guess i was the unlucky one.
CJITTY, i will do a search but if i get this ingal then i don't need to get new control arms right?
thanks again

Carlos, the Ingalls camber kit are basically new control arms. You need one kit per tire/wheel. One kit replaces both lower control arms on that tire/wheel. The are basically the same thing except the control arms have an adjustable sleeve that allows an aligner to dial in proper toe and camber adjustments and it will align your car in the rear PERFECTLY!!
Hope this helps!!

Forgot to add, to answer your question..with the Ingalls kits, you don't need new control arms. You will need to buy 2 kits.
Each kit has two adjustable control arms in the package, install should take less than 45 minutes for both sides and my aligner just added anti-seize compound to the threads to make adjustments in the future much easier. They take out your lower control arms, adjust the new control arms to the same length as the old (factory) arms, then mount the new arms..then turn the control arm until toe and camber are good, then tighten down the end nuts to lock the arm in place..very simple design..yet super effective..no more camber issues.
Here is the link in case you didn't find it on a search

cjitty, that helps alot. thanks.
I will get these for both back tires. The thing that sucks is that i have to get them align again!!, this is my 3rd time in 6 months!!!. first: replacing worn front bearing, second: replacing front right axle (which decreased vibration by 90%), now this. SSOOO i am hoping this solves the last 10% of vibration or i have to look for something else and realign it again.......
i wonder what is our record for number of times of alignment in a year,

are both left and right rear control arms supposed to be set at the same length??, i ask this because i can probably replace these myself (with help) and then get it align at acura the week after.
In this case then i would set my rear right arms same as my left (since left are closer to 0 deg, see above).
thanks again.
