Need help with the turn signal flash rapidly.

Hey guys I just get LED tail lights, but now the turn signal flash rapidly (fast). WHat kind of resistor do I need to fix it? How many of each? And where can I get it from? This is the pictures of the tail lights, minus the reverse lights and the corner lights. I don't have the LEDs on the reverse and the corner lights. Just the turn signal and the brake lights. THanks...

Does that resistor make the turn signal flash normal?

If it's an LED bulb, then yes.

Here's what happens. The car has a feature that makes the signal blink extra fast when you have blown light bulb (regular kind of bulb).

When you put in an LED bulb it draws so little power, the car thinks the bulb is blown and goes to "fast blink" to let you know.

When you add the resistor, it tricks the car by drawing add'l power --> car thinks the regular bulb is there and working fine = no "fast blink".

Replacement flasher looks like the better route- not very expensive and no wire hacking, plus easier & faster.

and safer. the resistor heats up and if it gets hot enough, could start melting the plastic lining or wires.

Check the bulb on your front passenger.

I had the tail light install. But the running lights on red isn't bright enough. So I play around with the resistor (another ohm) try to make it brighter, and end up did something wrong. THe light won't even work. I sended back to him yesterday to working on. I should get it back end of next week.

I dunno about 99-01 but I'm pretty sure its the same.

I have an 03 and I got those exact resistors that he used (3 Ohms, 50 Watts) and they stopped the hyper flashing when I only had my rear led turn signals in. Then I put in switchbacks in the front and they still stopped hyper flashing. I got it from V-leds and they were great.

no you will need resistor set ups on both the front and rear if both of them are doing it
