have a 2002 tl-s 63000 miles, first tranny, stock, car sees vtec once a week. all of a sudden, my car started to rev up to 2000 and back down to idle in 3 second intevals in neutral. the car would jerk in drive.. its weird tho bec i checked the tranny 2-3 and 3-4 upshifts and it was perftdctly normal. i restarted the engine and the same thing happened. wtf is goin on HELP


p.s. will rosenthal acura bec open and can i take it in at any time, or do i have to schedule an appointment.

I have seen this before, but I don't remember what the problem was. Is the car throwing any codes?

The problem seems to be a fuel & delivery problem....which could be a number of possible problems.

 

i dun know wtf is goin on but it dissappeared.... but now like all of a sudden, the car would not shift out of park afterwards... WTF IS GOING ON... like i press the brake throttle but the car still wont shift... but weird thing is that it went away tooo afer i restarted the engine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wtf

 

Idle Air Control Valve...same thing happened to mines...did any of you get a CEL yet?

 

2 seperate issues.. the iac idle air control valve.. and the brake switch above the brake pedal

 

Bring it to the dealer. Sound like it can be anything, like wilp99 say ias, brake switch, can even be the MAP, EGR Valve stuck, or May be the ECU.

 

iight, and will it cost me 90 bux to get codes from my ecu at the dealer??? or can i get it for free?

 

When this happend to me the dealer service tech told me my intake caused it...B.S> if i've ever heard it

 

my brake switch was changed almost 2 years ago, and i still have problems with it once in a while. sometimes i have to get my hand under there and mess wit it, then its fine.
