Navigation locked ?!

Need some help here guys. My Navigation on 02 TL says 'enter pin code' I did enter the code that this car came with but it says invalid. Any ideas?? I've got over 60 K so there's no warranty on this and I bought this used from someone who I can't locate.

Where did you find the code? Mine is on the outside of my glovebox panel.

If you go to the dealer, they'll take your VIN # and maybe ID and give you the code.

There is 2 ways you can go about fixing this.

1) You can start with 0001 and go up to 9999 and you will somday get your code.

2) Or, you can go into your trunk, take down the navigation unit, and get the serial numbers and stuff of of that. Call the Acura dealer and give them the codes and you should get your PIN

1) it does not work because you have about 10 tries, and it will lock you for an hour or so, before you can try again.

2) I think 2 should work, but some dealers make you to bring the car in along with registration, so you can show it your car before they look up the code for you.

Option 2 doesn't always work - best thing to do is take your car to the dealer and have them give you the number - regardless of having the registration - the issue is the Navi unit could have been stolen (not you) but that's what they think...

1) WAS A JOKE CALM DOWN lol

2) Guess I am lucky with my Acura dealer. I got the number and got my pin. Of course, I had done maintence there before, so they had me in the computer. So they probaly verified it for me.

Go in, give them the number. Take your VIN and registration. That way you can prove to them that its your car and nav unit. Or you can let them get it yourself and pay 87 bucks..for a 2 min thing

Thanks for helping guys! The strange thing is that the unit is asking for a 4 digit code but the little white card that came with the car - 'anti-theft radio ID card' has a 5 digit code?!?

By the way the serial number is: AC009250, please see if you can find anything.

Thanks,

You should have two codes on that card. The radio code is 5 digits, but the navi code is 4 digits.
