My 99TL decided to malfunction when I stopped for a coffee break at a local Dunkin Donut. The car was driving smoothly for the past 7 months since I purchased it from its original owner (I put on about 12k miles). Only recently I had noticed some vibration when it reach about 65 MPH (+/- 5MPH and it goes away if I go faster or slower). Was going to have the tires balanced this week but then today it went crazy.
When I pulled into the DD parking lot I felt a noticeable vibration from my steering wheel when it’s parked. The CEL light came on soon after I left the parking lot and later the TCS light came on as well. The car vibrates at very low speed and in reverse (also at low speed), when the speed increases the vibration slowly disappears except at about 50MPH. The vibration was so strong at around 50MPH I even felt it from my seat and all the passengers (including the rear passengers) in the car felt it. When idle I can see the engine rattles a in the engine bay.
Did anyone had similar issues before or know what might be the cause of these? And why would my TCS light came on, I don’t think that has anything to do with the rattle of the engine.
