my car hums

i removed the intake resonator recently and noticed there is a hum coming from my car, kinda sounds like the fans kicking on but its right on start-up. when i start the car, it hums for a second, stops for a second, then constantly hums. is this caused by the resonator being gone or am i having other problems? thanks in advance -Bryan

Describe the sound a little more. Like a roar, or high-pitched hum, or deep hum. We need more info. Maybe a sound clip would help users better diagnose your problem.

Make sure the filter box is sealed, not cracked/broken, etc.

i have both of my intake resonators out as well and have the same hum, its just the air passing over the opening under the filter. (similar to when you blow over top a cola bottle)

I noticed the same thing when I took my intake resonator out. It's kind of, uh, "concerning" when you first hear it, but you get use to it pretty quick and you won't noticed it that much after awhile.

I seems to be louder at times, maybe under certain atmospheric conditions or something.
I haven't really figured it out yet, but occasionally mine is pretty loud and noticable, but most times I don't notice it unless I listen closely for it.
