I have a 2002 tl type s and im trying to find the best solution to this whole transmission issue, i bought the car for 1500, yeah 1500! Car is mint!!! I cant stress it enough i just need a solution to fix this tranny...need help!

 

I am guessing your trans is showing signs of slipping- worn out clutch packs?

the options are rebuild local $2500

get a used Oddessy trans (see auto recyclers/junkyard-call for prices) and install-
they are the new solution being used by many here
some minor drilling of a hole to make it fit, but otherwise a much better, newer design- trans than a TL

 

you need to make sure the water pump and timing belt were done,,called for at 105kmiles

that belt breaks,,,, and there is 2500$ internal damage minimum = throw engine away

 

 

what do you need a pic of ?
a TL parked on the side of the road with a dead trans and needs timing belt?

 

$1,500 :o for that price i would do a 6mt conversion! and still have a good deal.
