I'm trying to fix my girlfriends car, i'm no mechanic but i can handle small fixes. Problem: car started flashing engine light and i know that means its serious so we only drove it a couple miles to have the codes checked out at autozone. The codes came back as misfires on cylinders 3 ,4 and 6 and it also threw the egr valve code so i started there and changed the egr valve which turned out to not be the problem. i read on here that coil packs could be the problem just wondering the best way to go about figuring out which one it is or if it could be all three and if thats really the problem. so after reading thru some threads i found that i could test them by leaving the car running and unplugging them one at a time feeling for the change in performance. i found that cylinder 6 was the problem pack changed it along with the plug and vola! its fixed. Thank you AcuraZine community couldnt done it without you.

 

the egr prob is not the valve itself, but the system passages are clogging
You need to remove intake manifold to clean it all out
