you are kidding right hit? you have to know this one!!
oil change reminder light/mait req light
try looking in the diy~

put your left hand thru top of steering wheel- push and hold both trip buttons in

with right hand, turn key to ON - watch as mait light flashes several times then goes out..
you are done

In 6500 miles it will start again as it nears oil change interval schedule- has nothing to do with oil condition- mileage since reset only

I hope you are changing the oil once a year then--moisture absorbtion in oil from hygroscopic action is bad news on car engines

Make sure you are driving it once a month for 45-60 minutes on the freeway cruising
That will make enough heat in the engine, fluids and exhaust to dry them out,
and charge the battery properly

throw some seafoam or stabil (see- I do like other products!) in the gas to prevent moisture issues and gumming of the fuel- which will make the car run bad when sucked into the fuel system

a few dollars prevention beats a thousand dollar repair

Well I guess that's more believable...as you would only get the light...every 2 years. Sometimes I can't even remember how old I was 2 years ago.

Ok, question here for you guys. I had let it go for awhile, kinda got used to it being on. I've reset the maintenance required light countless times in the past, but now holding the "select" and "reset" buttons with the ignition set to "on" won't reset it. It makes a beeping sound and causes the temperature readout to go cycle from -3 to -3°, beeping at each increment.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? I'm in the process of selling the car and need to get the light reset ASAP.

to rest mait light push and hold the 2 trip buttons
THEN turn key to ON- mait light flashes several times and goes out
DONE

to fix outside temp reading
turn key on- push both buttons--adjust as needed
