Hello, i have some problem with my driver side headlight.. since i got the car (1 year ago) my driver side headlight was always more yellowish .. but since 2 days they are just too dimm.. when they start they seems to be ok but after maybe 5 second they look like this. what do you guy are thinking about ?

 

Looks like the TL has pink eye. If the lights start up okay and remain on, I'd say it's a bulb problem. Try switching the bulbs, put the yellow one on the other side and the normal one on that side and see what happens.

 

Yeah ill do this tomorrow !! i hope isnt the ballast !

 

Are they both intense blue when you first turn them on?

 

They start like the other one but dimm after .. actually you can see a diff in my avatar .. this was like 1 month ago

 

Just making sure that it didn't have a halogen bulb on one side for some stupid reason. Wouldn't be an issue if you bought new, though. But as long as they start up the same then it's probably a faulty HID capsule.

 

Actually im the 3rd owner .. and the guy before me was really cheap so maybe :P

 

If they startup blue, then they're both HID capsules. But if they look like that on startup, I'd be suspicious.

 

Swap bulbs from left to right and you'll tell if it is the bulb or the ballasts easily.

 

Hmmm it seems many TL has problem with their HIDs?? cause I just bought a 00 TL and I just realized the lighting is not the same. Mine is just pinkish not as dim as yours. But still... hmm maybe I should try to swap the bulb like many members say.

 

So whats the verdict ? I am having the SAME problem right now with mine, just noticed it tonight. My lights looks Identical to yours Looks like I might have to do the swap tomorrow and let everyone know....Hope its only the blub and nothing else

 

For me it was the bulb, my friend justin (@cur@tl) just send me an old one and i remplaced it .. now its ok
