Key programming

Hi,

Last summer i bought an accord 98 with acura 3.2 tl type s engine in it.

Everything was working fine.

I put my car in a garage for the all winter and when i wanted to start it, in the dash, the green key is flashing !!!!

I think that means the key is not program normally !!!

Wat kind i do to reprogram this key myself.

Thank you,

Does the key starts the car? The green key should flash whenever u put the key in the ignition and when u turn the car off so thats normal.

I deleted the thread you posted in 3G TL. I figured you reposted here when you learned the Type S engine was from a 2G TL.

And welcome to the forums.

I'm not sure of the 2G TL's, but if they use the immobilizer chip like the 3G TL, which can cause the green key light to flash, then it has to be programmed at the dealer.

Have you checked the battery? If everything else is working, you can turn the key and the engine will crank but it won't start, which means it is the immobilizer causing the problem.. If it doesn't crank at all it might be something else.
