I had other skaters (it happened at the skatepark) watch the car while I skated home to get the valet key.

AutoLock or not, you should always keep a copy of your key, at least to only unlock doors.

My 1G does this.

It is a great feature to have because before I got it I would always forget to lock my doors.

My friend's brother-in-law did this before in a parking lot and because he only had one key he had to call AAA and they took 2.5 hours to get there.

my auto-lock is so bad, it sometimes locks all four doors while I'm driving. at random.

it really scares passengers. haunted car.

I used to be a valet, and we were taught, never leave an engine running without atleast one window partly rolled down. Whenever my keys are in the car and I'm not, you can bet that the drivers side window is half-cracked. It's a good habit to get into. Saves alot of hassle. Further more, it's a good idea to get into the habit of checking that keys are in hand before slamming the truck lid. I've seen too many people lay the keys down inside the trunk to free up a hand, and then close the trunk lid, sealing the keys inside.

I have 3 keys for my TL. One stays at home, one in the car to run it. and the Valet Key is in my wallet. Can't tell you how many times I have locked myself out of the car and had to use the Valet key. Cheap insurance in your wallet!
