its prob the filter. i know the stock box with out the resonator hums. im sure its jsut because the piping is soo short and the filter is foam probably?

its probably just the intake if the noise just happened as soon as you installed it

It's pretty much the same with the CAI. My AEM hums intermittently while warming up.

It's the nature of straight-pipe intake systems. If you can't live with the noise, then you need to go back to stock.

Intake humming

I have an 02 TL-S with the very same problem. I had it in at Acura and they discovered that the noise is because the air filter box (intake) is not sealing properyly. I seems as though some of the hold down tabs were broken by the previous owner and am told that once this is sealed properly the noise will go away. Hope this helps. I'm trying to locate a used air box.

I just went through this problem. Most SRI will make the humming noise that you are describing. Mine did and it was super annoying. I took the SRI off and installed an INJEN CAI. The only humming is maybe during the first couple of minutes when the engine is warming up (and even that is minimal compared to the SRI). Other than that...no hum at all!

here is my thread on this...hopefully this helps you.
