Intake = Engine Check?

Exclamation Intake = Engine Check?

after 2 weeks of having my AEM CAI the check engine light turns on. what should i do? i also had replaced my stock suspension with H&R sports and KYB shocks could that be a reason why? i need HELP!

Suspension isn't a part of the OBD2, so no, it wouldn't trigger the MIL (aka CEL, Check Engine Light).

It could be totally unrelated to the intake, so the first step would be to get the code scanned. Then you will know what's wrong with your car. Honestly, we're all here to help each other, but it's impossible to help you with the little information that's provided.

Is there an AutoZone near you? Go there and ask to get the code scanned. It's free. Then let us know what the code(s) was.

same thing happened to me, took it to autozone, they said nothin was wrong...i just need to change my oil.

thx for the reassurance but i found out i think is the reason of the check engine light was on . on tectronic shift my throttle on 3 and 4th gear is off no power at all when i try to floor it, it stays at like 3000rpm and after that so slow but on automatic everything is fine when i floor it it goes. so this is nothing i can fix right ?

Your car is in safety mode. It's caused by the check engine light, not the other way around. Something is wrong with your car, and now it's doing that to keep the car from destruction.
