I purchased two real good headlite assembleys and the glass is good ...My problem is that the dealer wants 110 each to replace them? I have a mexican body man that saids he could do the job for 75 bucks? should i go with the body man?
The dealer will replace my HIDs (i purchased) at no cost if i do the HL assembly with his service people? and od i trust the body man to do the HID's

What to do??????????????????????? Would appreciate any input on my stupid questions...but :

do it yourself..... its easy.

 

yeah..its really easy. Only take ~1hr or so if its your first time. Heres a DIY

if you're just talking about installing them then do it yourself.. probably take you an hour the first time but def. don't pay someone to do it.

I have just purchased two new Sylvania D2R bulbs thru Auto Advance and sylvania was the OEM that our dealer charged 177 each .....well i got the same bulb for 137 and the dealer will install for free while he is doing my headlights To me its a good deal since i'mm a 67 year old retiree and its the wifes car
Would love to hear about the sylvania bulbs ..... and compared to phillips and some other aftermarket bulbs and if anyone knew that Osram and Sylvania are the same company
Today i spoke to sylvania corporate office in New YOrk and she named four retailers who carried the d2r bulb and again mentioned that Sylvania and Osram are the same company??
I know that i'm paying more but the original bulbs have lasted me 147000miles and would proably be okay if the plastic lens was in good clear condition
