I have a 2002 acura tl s . I have some issues with my navigation system with it freezing up on me. I posted this on another thread but got very little response. So what I did was startedwith the cheapest part of the navi and easiest part to remove which is the DVDrROMin the trunk. Then I read that I may have problems putting in my codes. Will I have any when I replace that unit? Are the codes that came with my car going to be different now? Do I need a code for the new dvdrom? Please if anyone knows that would be helpful. Thx Any tips or tricks would help as well.

OK. So if I buy all this and copy my files over to the new compact flash drive the old codes on my car will work essentially? Lets start with that one first.

 

Does the harddrive only use one of the harddrive slots? So I could use an external harddive enclosure that doesnt come with a harddive in right?

 

I think I bought all the necessary stuff for no reason. I think 1999 they stopped making the hard disk navis and went to DVD based. Or does all of them still have the harddrives fpr memory still Thoughts?
