Inevitable damage

So when I bought my '02 TL-S it had some strange looking damage to the paint on the side pillars behind the driver/passengar windows. I was wondering if anybody else experienced this and if there was a way to remove the damage. The pic below is from someone elses car with the same exact damage. I tried using a cleaner but it didn't do anything for it. Suggestions?

This is a very common "B-Pillar" finish problem with the 2nd gen TLs. I have the same finish problem on my B-Pillars.

You can replace them with new parts from Acura, repaint them or cover them.

Search the forum for "B-Pillar" for a ton of suggestions and "how-to" info.

hilarious...I guess I'll have to remove my b-pillars and sand them down and spray them flat black. It might look good on my NBP.

I wouldnt do flat. I would use gloss to match the frames around the windows

look in the phone book for your town, every one has a store that sells auto paint supplies to body shops, and the public is welcome too

With your paint code they mix a batch and put in a spray can for you
yes you can buy on the internet but I support local biz when possible

Have fun- the doors will be open a while removing panels to get to the B pillar bolts -
of course~
