Wondering if anyone else is having or has had this problem.
Brand new pair of bulbs ordered from hidextra to replace OEM bulbs (one burnt out) for my '02 TLs.
The new bulbs won't ignite consistantly, I have to turn the switch on and off repeatedly to get them both to turn on at thte same time. Once on, they are fine.

There is nothing wrong with the OEM ballasts or the install. I tested with the original bulb and both sides worked fine.

Is this typical of hidextra bulbs or did I just get 2 bad ones?

Warranty will cover but I have to uninstall and destroy them, reassemble parts and then not drive at night until I get news, ones then reinstall again. Since im talking about warranty, what have your experiances been like turn around wise? I can make it 2-3 days with no headlights, but with winter coming and the days getting shorter, I cant go a week or 2 without...

 

have you tried contacting the company direct--or the seller?

 

The seller hidextra.com wants me to take them out, destroy them, take a pic and send it to them for warranty replacement. They will cover them but im womdering if this is common (maybe the brand has issues) or isolated (bad luck).
Kind of a pain in the a$$ to dissassemble, reassemble so I can drive during the day at least, wait however long to get replacements, dissassemble and reassemble again.

 

have not seen bad reports on azine about them,,are they one of our sponsors?

do you have the original bulbs? at least one to run for now

you understand- nothing personal- just business-- as some other people will try to get free bulbs and never turn in old parts for warranty
asking for a pic is pretty easy
