i think im having VTEC problem!?!

i think im having VTEC problem!?!

i uno if anyone has this problem, my first gear vtec kicks in about 5000 rpm usually our car vtec hits at 3500 or 3600 now sometimes it hits at 5000!!!! WTF thats to late for me what is wrongggg??!?!! HELP someone please!

5000 is a little bit too high .. but i remember going wot alot .. and it kicks in about 4500 , not 3500 or 3600 (that would be vtec for the 98-02 av6) .

You might want to take a look at your VTEC fluid.

This usually happens when you're either low or the fluid is bad

j/k check your oil

Make sure you check your exhaust bearings too. Once your bearings go out, it affects engine performance.

What year do you have?

3800 RPM's for the 99 TL
4400 RPM's for the TL
4800 RPM's for the TL Type S

When the solenoid actuates its 4800, by time you hear it its probably 5k.

haha nah man i like going bwaah! and i have a 99 so yeh it does kick in about 3800 then but sometimes it hits 5000-5300 piss me off! ill have to check it and see is there actually vtec fluid lol?
