I have a o3 TL. How do I put the back seat down so my trunk and back seat are connected. I need to put it completely down. I cant seem to find the lever to put it down.

 

Thats because the 2G TL doesnt have a 60/40 rear seat.

 

Yeah, it needs to be unbolted.

 

same thing happend with me when I first got the car i was like WTH why isnt it coming down then i was like OOOO we need to unbolt it

 

Like the others said, It doesnt fold down. Only thing the 2nd gen TL has is the small pass thru.

 

The unable folded back seat is unfortunate. can't even carry my 4 feet ladder.

^ cant you just get a roof rack thing there is a guy on here sporting the roof rack that comes on and off.

 

Does it scratch the top of my roof? Anyone know of a mod that you can install so we can put the seat down whenever we please?

 

Still it is very inconvenient to have it on the roof. After surfing, you need to go to restaurant, shopping, etc. you can't just take the board with you. and if you leave it on the roof, it may not be there when you get back.

 

The quick easy way is to leave the screws off, so you can lift it up any time to lay it down.

 

It's still a PITA to get the seat wedged back in there and the seatbelts back around the seat... You'll mess us the sides of the leather back and/or the fabric liner around the seat.
