How many times?

Should I expect this piece of crap ignition switch to fail? I just replaced it a year ago. Lately on occasion, the car will try to turn over but not fire. today It did it again so I popped the cover over the steering wheel off and moved the wires and it fired right up....tested it many times, same deal. It's not comforting having to bang on your steering wheel to make your car start. I'm sick of this shit. Anyone else change their switch more than twice? I feel like Honda didn't make the wires long enough, so they get pinched upon install.

Now that I think about it...are the wires above the steering wheel even the Ignition switch wires? I cant remember from back when I did the switch swap, seems like they were on the lower left.

this is a part with a problem, why stay OE?

Guess that's the route i'll go, this will be the 3rd one for the car. besides that and the poisonous mirror the car has been great and had a new trans when i bought it. $50 out the window still blows though....i just bought a new condenser fan and put it in today only to see that it didnt work. swapped relays with the main fan and it came right on. I am a moron and this day blows. The end.

Permanent fix: Add a little solder to the problem area. There was a video for it somewhere by Eric the Car Guy. All he did was add a tiny amount of extra solder to this joint, and it worked fine.
