How to identify broken Mount: (not covered)

-00' TL-p 60K: From what I can see..
---REAR trans. mount + Upper pass. side motor mount are BROKEN

*How do I know if the front and rear motor mounts are good or not?
---this is not covered in other threads (I HAVE CHECKED)

*if those two are broken is that an indicator that the front and back may also be broken?
---btw front mount clearly moves up and down under accel with holding the brake and applying throttle...

Engine shudder at idle. Clunk when putting in gear. Excessive movement holding brakes and applying throttle in gear.

Common symptoms.

How to diagnose them is covered. In just about every motor mount post. Look for cracking, leaking etc..

This vid shows that the front is beyond shot.

Odds are your front is shot if the side is and the trans are. Rears are less prone to going out but it probably wouldnt hurt to replace it as well if the front is worn.

*so tranny and upper are broken..
basically what I am asking is..

If they are not leaking are they still good?

Front mount = dry but looks to be moving under acceleration in (park) is that normal?

Dry, but moving under acceleration in park = mount is bad and oil all leaked out so long ago there is no trace now.

No. Its bad if it moves. If its dry and not leaking it may very well be all out of fluid (not much in there to begin with) and dried up long ago. Front and side are the typical ones to go. Usually if the side is bad, its because the front is bad.
