How do you reset the maintenance required light on the dash?
My daughter has a 2001 3.2TL S. She recently took it to a Firestone place for an oil change. She has the maintenance required light on her dash, and it is still on after the oil change. Is it similar to the Honda red flag that is tied to the odometer where it changes from green to yellow to red every 7500 miles, or does it serve as a "real" warning that something does indeed need maintenance? I know that with the honda, you could just reset the red flag to green by simply sticking your key into a slot next to the flag. How is it accomplished on an Acura?
Thanks.
Thanks.
As for the Maint required light its in your manual on how to reset it as well.
It means nothing more than its time for a oil change (when properly reset) Its designed to come on full at 7500 miles.
With the car off,Press and hold the Trip and Reset light with 1 hand, while holding them BOTH in turn your key
to the RUN position (not start but run) and continue to hold them in till they turn off. It takes about 10 seconds.
If you turn the key and then press teh buttons in you will change the Outside Temp settings
