welcome
the search feature is your friend and look at the main page for gen2- there are recent instructions on bulb changing, just scroll down the list of titles
Requires Torx bit # 20
Bulbs are special HID, not over the counter items at kragen
Ebay, Phillips 4300 get NEW only about 85 per pair when available
acurazine vendor excelerate has Kaixen hyper white with slight blue tint
6000k - awesome on my 01, about $150 per pair and worth it

I posted some installation tips here:
https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/two-my-favorite-tv-shows-now-158008/
Some highlights:
You'll need a tamper-proof Torx T-20 driver. ( A basic Torx T-20 won't work because it doesn't have a hole in the center of the star pattern.)
Wear gloves when handling the bulbs.
Replace the bulbs in pairs to avoid a mis-matched set.
If you have trouble with the forum search function, try an advanced Google search limited to the site "tl.acurazine.com". That works great.

right on the tamper proof- type torx, I happen to have one in the set.
Wear rubber or latex gloves handling bulbs-
BE CAREFUL - the bulbs have an external electrode protected by a fine
insulater cover- these are very delicate
bulbs- it goes back in the exact way the old one came out- you noted the position of the electrode as you removed
Careful is using the newer fits d2r d2s d2c, put it in the same way, but there are no locking alignment tabs like the one had, place the spring clip in place and its fine,
do not rotate the bulb looking for a locl point!!!!!
The infamous spring clip- needle nose pliers, push in and to the left to release- its a one armed spring clip that rotates to the top when free, after pushing in an unlocking- wiggle, pull out the opposite direction- then bulb under that
Yes always replace in pairs
I went with Kaixen 6000K, really nice bright white with blue that picks up road markings way better than the OE bulbs- see vendor excelerate for them, he also has 5000k
Have fun!
