vsa not related to ps pump, you may have a speed sensor prob or something else
What have you done recently on the car?
had codes ckd where?

To remove air from system if you just changed fluid-
put cardboard under front wheels to reduce friction
start engine and in Park- turn wheels slowly back and forth from full lock to lock
any bubbles will surface and self clear

With engine running- try pushing the VSA button the dash- light go out?

Possible you dislodged a wheel speed sensor on one or more of the wheels
Very easy to do on a full brake job if not careful and know where they are
Some pull the wire out because its corroded inside already, or the sensor itself gets pulled up slightly in its mounts..take a look at each of them to start

sensor needs to be at the bottem of its mount

did you flush the brake fluid before the brake work, (prevents crud backwash when you compress calipers) or at least flushed it fully after?

congrats on the 105 DIY, not everyone will even consider doing it!

did you try the switch- it may have been pushed accidentally and turned VSA OFF- making the light come on

otherwise, look at the speed sensors

If you push the VSA button, I believe the VSA light will only remain on for the current engine cycle. Once engine is shut off then restarted if VSA syst. is normal the light will be off.

according to the TL serice manaul there shold be no more than a 1mm gap between the sensor and ring. If there is, you will prolly get a code indicating that the sensor is having issues

the abs codes for sensors are

41 right front
42 left front
43 right rear
44 left rear

I'm having an issue with my TCS and VSA lights as well. I worked on my ball joints and had to replace a wheel speed sensor. For some reason my lights are on, so I'm hoping to get it resolved shortly.

I believe the new wheel speed sensor is installed properly, but I'll take another look at it. I'll let you know what I come across.
