please help my winshield wipers stopped working today out of all days its raining like crazy today! I hear the motor turning on !!when i turn my wipers on tho.= , but my wipers dont move? Is there some kind of belt or something that runs these wipers that can go buy and change? If anyone has had this problem please let me know thanks!

 

probably your wiper motor...had the same problem on my 3G last year and it was the motor for the wipers...

hey yeah thanks guys but i already checked that page but it seems weird doesnt sound like whats going on with my wipers but ill check on the ball joints and plastics when it STOPS raining

 

First off did you check the fuses?
There is no belt, its mechanically operated. Do the wipers move up if you pull on them by hand? turn the wipers on and give them some assistance to see if that gets them moving. If not its either a fuse, the motor is shot, or the arms are stripped out.

 

Ok guys i finally took the car inside my jobs garage and took everything apart and found out that the nut that holds both arms came off!!!!!! so that was the problem. The good thing was that the washer was still on the bolt but the nut fell down oon some hole under the motor but i got it with a magnet. So everything is up and running damn it was stressful not to have wipers on a damn rainy day! thanks for everything.
